Keanu Reeves will be back for John Wick 2

Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his role as John Wick in the upcoming sequel to the 2014 action-thriller of the same name.

Co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch said they are working on the follow-up and are confident that they can out-do themselves. “We have ideas for days and without blinking twice we know we can outdo the action from the original,” Stahelski said.

John Wick was all about an ex-assassin who came out of retirement for revenge against a group of gangsters. He went on quite the rampage, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake.

Anyone who enjoyed the original may be pleased to hear that there are big John Wick related plans. Lionsgate revealed that it is interested in turning John Wick into a multiple-title action franchise.

John Wick 2 is yet to be given a release date. All that’s known at the moment is that Keanu Reeves will return in the title role. Expect more news about a release date, supporting characters, and possibly even a plot in the future.
