We've had teases, behind-the-scenes vlogs, pictures from the set, but the moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. The first Spectre trailer is here.

VIDEO: Spectre trailer introduces the 'author' of all Bond's pain

It's an enticing trailer in which Bond realises that he is the link between the components of the sinister operation Spectre.

We also get to meet the movie's villain, played by Christoph Waltz. He offers up some chilling lines throughout the trailer. "You came across me so many times yet you never saw me. What took you so long?" he asks.

"It was me James. The author of all your pain."

Daniel Craig returns as Bond. Alongside him are Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Dave Bautista.

Spectre will apparently be Sam Mendes' last time in the director's chair due to the commitment involved in making a Bond film. Mendes previously helmed 2012's Skyfall.

Spectre will be released on October 26th, 2015.
