The Witcher 3 1.07 patch finally available in Ireland - get it now!
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has been doling out free goodies for weeks now, ever since its release on May 19th. Those free DLC packs have been on hold however to make room for something even bigger - a massive patch bringing the game up to version 1.07. And now it's available in Ireland!
The full patch has been rolling out to various places around the world since the weekend and has finally hit Europe. So you should defnitely get downloading as soon as possible. Bear in mind the full size of the patch is a pretty huge 7.591 gigs on the PS4 so it's going to take some people a good while to bring it down, and beware of your data limits. If people still have those.
CD Project RED has been talking about this patch for a good while now, and its more than a few stability tweaks. Gameplay smoothness has been addressed (though we've heard its actually resulted in lower frame rates for some users on PS4) and a number of quest-based issues have been resolved.
But it also brings entirely new features, like a new movement mode for Geralt which is supposed to make him easier to control - honestly this isn't something we've ever had a problem with. You'll also be able to find stashes in the world now to store your attractive swords in, especially when you realise they're mostly crappy for fighting with.
Horse behaviour has been addressed, signs have been rebalanced. In fact so many things have changed that many players have put their gaming on hold (ourselves included) to experience the game anew once the update is ready.
The full and exhaustive list of changes can be found here. But you really should just download and play it instead!
