EA renames Origin ID – now EA Account

EA announced that it’s replacing the Origin ID title with EA Account, a move that it says will "better represent all of EA's games and services."

Aside from the name changing, everything else remains the same. Your account preferences, identity, and order history will stay the same as ever.

The login credentials that you use to access Origin and EA’s other sites and services will be unchanged. All that changes is that in the coming weeks, you will be asked for your EA Account login rather than your Origin ID.
