Vacation reboot writers to pen new Spider-Man

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein may be about to add another reboot to their portfolio. They are reportedly being lined up to write Spider-Man’s next adventure.

The pair originally appeared on a shortlist of contenders to direct the movie. In the end, they were overlooked with Jon Watts locking down that particular job.

Daley and Goldstein penned the Vacation reboot, but have also collaborated on Horrible Bosses 1 and 2, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. They could be exactly what’s needed to get Spidey’s tone right.
