VIDEO: Shenmue 3 releases gorgeous trailer as Kickstarter draws to a close

Shenmue 3 is coming to the end of its Kickstarter campaign and is celebrating with some new game footage featuring hero Ryo and the mysterious Shenhau

After almost a month on Kickstarter, the campaign for Shenmue 3 has reached nearly $5 million. It might not be the biggest crowdfunded title ever but the reaction is still impressive, especially given the fact that there hasn't been a full game in the franchise in almost 14 years.

With just a matter of hours left to go, the team has revealed a new reward tier, and it's a pretty special one. In addition to a whole bunch of physical rewards, you'll get to feature in the game as an NPC. That means you'll have your face modelled by the games developers and you'll get to interact with Ryo and be immortalised forever in the digital world.
