Star Wars fans who miss the days of practical effects will be pleased with the behind-the-scenes video released for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

It promises the use of real sets and practical effects. Not only is it said that these are being used in the making of the movie, but we get to see them for ourselves.

There’s plenty to take in and enjoy here, including a Stormtrooper with a flamethrower – that should solve their accuracy issues – Simon Pegg’s alien costume, and shots of the new TIE Fighter.

Just because you weren’t at Comic Con doesn’t mean that you don’t get to enjoy some of what the Star Wars panel had to offer. If you weren’t there however, you will be jealous. Those at the Hall H panel were whisked off to a free concert of music from the Star Wars scores performed by the San Diego Symphony.

Lucasfilm said that there wouldn’t be another trailer for The Force Awakens at Comic Con. And while they kept their word, they kept fans happy at the same time.
