Blanka may be coming to Street Fighter V

One Street Fighter character that has polarised opinion over the years is Blanka. And it looks like players will be able to continue arguing over how cheap he is in Street Fighter V.

A short video from Capcom Unity Brasil hints that Blanka will be joining the Street Fighter V roster.

Capcom’s Ono announces the Brazilian stage before showing off some footage from the upcoming game.

When the video cuts back to Ono, he’s dressed as Blanka. Of course, this could be a classic case of misdirection, which Ono is known for. It’s worth noting that Oro and Sean are Brazilian characters too.

But Occam’s razor would suggest that Blanka is joining the Street Fighter V cast. He is the character Street Fighter fans immediately think of when Brazil is mentioned.

The mysterious character will be officially announced in October at the Brazil Game Show.

Street Fighter V will be released in early 2016 on PC and PlayStation 4.
