This, according to Forbes, is enough to put RDJ eighth on its list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities in 2015. He’s flanked by author James Patterson ($89 million) and Taylor Swift ($80 million).

Avengers: Age of Ultron was a hit at the box office earlier this year, breaking records all around. Meanwhile, Captain America: Civil War is due out in May 2016.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed last month that the new Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, will be in Civil War. Holland has already screen tested with both RDJ and Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

Robert Downey Jr. has had the upper hand in salary negotiations in recent years. He confirmed that he was paid $50 million for the first Avengers, while Joss Whedon went so far as to say that there wouldn’t be an Avengers 2 if RDJ didn’t sign on.

There reportedly won’t be an Iron Man 4, so we may see less of Iron Man on screen in the coming years.
