First Batman: Arkham Knight DLC detailed

The first add-on for Batman: Arkham Knight, Batgirl: A Matter of Family, will be released on July 21st on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Batgirl pack was developed by Batman: Arkham Origins developer Warner Bros. Montreal rather than Arkham trilogy developer Rocksteady. Warner Bros. says that this is a one-off; all remaining DLC will come from Rocksteady.

The story is set before the events of Arkham Asylum, but will include the ally take-down system from Arkham Knight. Robin will join in the action for take-downs.

No PC release was mentioned. That’s not all that surprising considering the title has been withdrawn from sale over its array of technical issues. It’s unclear when these problems will be resolved; Rocksteady has said that it could take some time.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be able to download Batgirl: A Matter of Family from July 21st. Those who hold a season pass will get access to the pack a week earlier for free.
