Now we're getting fake news from inside the Marvelverse - Ultron and Ant-Man viral

The Marvel universe on the big (and small) screen is starting to get absolutely huge, and now we've got breaking news from the centre of it

The Marvel cinematic universe is a big and complicated things, with connections reaching from the first Iron Man back in 2008 to pretty much everything that has happened since. That's very impressive and for the most part it's been handled brilliantly by everyone involved. And now, you can get news reports from within that fiction.

This video is news, with mentions of a few familar properties. Check it out.

Ok so this is a pretty complicated thing in and of itself. Firstly, that's Leslie Bibb who first turned up in the Marvel-verse way back in 2008 as a reporter from Vanity Fair who hassled Robert Downey jr's Tony Stark. She popped back in for Iron Man 2 so she's officially part of the canon, and now she's giving us reports from inside the fiction, as the character of Christine Everhart for the WHIH network which has appeared in The Incredible Hulk and the SHIELD and Daredevil TV shows.

This viral piece seems to be all about making further connections in the universe, in this case between the events of Ultron and the upcoming Ant-Man. But its also laying some groundwork for what's coming up much later in Captain America Civil War as the Avengers get called out for their damage they've caused to human lives.

There's a lot going on here, but its also an excuse to see a funny mug shot of Paul Rudd - here playing criminal Scott Lang before he gets a supersuit.

Ant-Man is coming on the 17th of July 2015.
