Four years on and the second major biopic of his life is being mounted - but we bet you've already forgotten about the one starring Ashton Kutcher which sank without a trace in 2013. This new one has some serious talent attached, it's being directed by Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire) and written by the great Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network). And it has an amazing star in the lead role in the form of Michael Fassbender.
Here's the first trailer for Steve Jobs.
That. Escalated. Quickly...
It seems like Jobs lived quite the exciting life and Sorkin is ideally placed to get it on screen with the maximum of words spoken every minute. Apparently the film will unfold during three massively important moments in Jobs' life as he launches three iconic products. From the trailer its clear that includes the original Macintosh computer and the last part of the story is said to take place in 1998 with the arrival of the iMac.
That's an interesting way to look at the life of man who seemed only to live through his products and their effect on people and its also intriguing how they're stopping before the really runaway success of the iPhone and iPad.
The film also stars Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels, Katherine Waterston, Michael Stuhlbarg and Sarah Snook.
