VIDEO 14 minutes of stunning footage from Rise of the Tomb Raider

2013's Tomb Raider was a surpsingly incredible game - stealing liberally from the best of the genre to create something whcih totally reinvented the tales of Lara Croft. Thankfully, we're about to get more.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming in late 2015, and it's only for Microsoft consoles right now though we would expect a wider release in the future. E3 saw a wealth of new content drop but it was generally of the cut-up trailer variety. So today's new footage is a real treat, more than 10 minutes of gameplay footage. And it's looking like tough, and very cold, times for Lara yet again.

This seems like its early in the game judging by the fact that Lara is only just crafting her 'Makeshift Bow' and it looks like there'll be even more to do at base camps. The new stalking mechanics for enemies look great and really add to the idea that Lara is becoming close to the bad ass we know from later in her grave pillaging life.

There are new kinds of arrows in the mix too, letting you gas and distract your enemies. Or you can just straight out immolate then, which is certainly a more permanent solution. Developers Crystal Dynamics have promised more animal enemies in this new game and that ferocious bear is certainly looking the part. It's all looking very tasty indeed, especially if you enjoy seeing how much punishment you can put Lara through.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming in November 2015 to Xbox One and Xbox 360.
