Visceral working on Uncharted-like Star Wars game

EA and Disney have big plans for the Star Wars universe. We’ve seen footage from the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, and now we have titbits of information about Visceral’s Star Wars game.

Voice actor Nolan North revealed that the game is styled after the Uncharted series. Uncharted scribe Amy Hennig is also working on this Star Wars title, so that news isn’t all that surprising.

North was speaking on a panel at Metrocon. He doesn’t seem to be lending his vocal talents to the game, though it’s always a possibility, but he does seem to know some bits and pieces about what Visceral is working on.

If you're a big fan of Amy Hennig and her style of story, she's gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted," North said. "I happen to know a lot about it and it's going to be awesome."

Star Wars fans had been looking forward to 1313, the dark and gritty Star Wars games that LucasArts was working on. Unfortunately, when LucasArts was shut down, all hope was lost.

North was asked if this game is a revived Star Wars 1313. He replied that it’s “different,” but “along the same lines.”

Until we hear more about Visceral's project, we can only dream of what could have been.
