VIDEO: Heroes Reborn - new trailer shows off the new series

Remember Heroes - the NBC TV show which ran from 2006 to 2010 and got increasingly worse every season? Well its back in the shape of Heroes Reborn.

Here's the first full trailer.

So what exactly is this? For a reboot it has a lot of familar faces, including Masi Oka and Greg Grunberg and some interest in furthering the story of the previous series. So it it just more of a long-delayed sequel? And how will creator Tim Kring manage to silence his many critics this time?

There's certainly nothing new in the footage presented here, bar fresh faced players like Ryan Guzman and Kiki Sukezane. And in the intervening years superheroes have become increasingly common on the smaller screen. The plan is to see out a 13 episode event series which explores what happens in the wake of a terrorist attack which has been blamed on those with powers. We'll have to wait and see if they can make it interesting this time around.

Heroes Reborn comes to NBC on the 24th of September 2015.
