The Paranormal Activity series is coming to a close with The Ghost Dimension - and you're going to be seriously creeped out

You may not be a fan of the recent spate of found footage films, particularly in the horror genre, but you can't deny that the Paranormal Acitivty series has had an indelible effect. Now the series which began it all is back for one final chapter. Here's the trailer for Paranormal Activity The Ghost Dimension.

After skipping a year without a release in 2014, it looks like we're going to get answers to all our questions from the last four movies, including those which belong to a different timeline to this modern-set movie. So the other families are back, as is the spectre of Toby.

With the threat being kept mostly off screen in the series so far, I'm not sure the new mechanic of being able to see them will up the creep factor but it will be interesting to see the film trying to tie up the many loose ends of the franchise to date. And if it makes a ton of money, is there any real chance that it will actually be gone for good?

Paranormal Activity The Ghost Dimension will debut in 3D in October 2015.
