The worlds first HD videos of Earth from space are pretty amazing

From space, the Earth must look like a very peaceful place, far from the hustle of streets and way above the drone of airplanes circumnavigating the globe. But even from that far away a closer look can reveal incredible detail.

UrtheCast aims to give you that kind of closer look and it's pretty incredible. This is a video of London taken from the International Space Station. The ISS is 400 kilometers from the surface of the Earth and they've managed to capture the first ever HD colour video from space.

This might look like just a Google map segment but watch the video to see it come to life.
