Be in the movies! Open casting for extras this weekend in Dublin!

Casting experts Movieextras.ie will be holding a massive open casting extravaganza this weekend in Dublin - get in the movies!

Making movies and major TV shows involves a lot of moving parts, both in front of and behind the camera, and that also means filling every corner of the screen with bodies of all shapes and sizes. Extras are a vital part of many productions, providing a sense of reality or bringing a period feel with a scale which wouldn't be possible with featured players.

And Movieextras.ie are the experts in the field. They've been operating in Ireland since 2002 and have worked on over 1200 productions, paying out more than €10 million in fees to their many, many extras! They're currently gearing up for production on Ripper Street Season 4, Rebellion (with Brendan Gleeson) and continue to provide services to shows like Fair City.

And they need you! Movieextras is having a massive open casting session at the Gresham Hotel in Dublin on Friday June 19 and Saturday June 20 - from 9.30am to 5.30pm. Movie extras come in all shapes and sizes and ages so this really is open to all, especially with the range of movies and shows which will be coming up in the years ahead.

So just come along on the day and you'll start be getting three professional headshots taken to add to your personal profile. The fee of €99.99 covers these photos as well as a one year membership to MovieExtras.ie where you'll be made available to more than 800 companies currently using their books.
