The Leftovers season 2 trailer - where are we going?

The Leftovers is a HBO show which kicked off in 2014 and if you missed it you should definitely try to catch up.

Based on the book of the same name by Tom Perrotta, it's set in a world where two percent of the Earth's population suddenly vanished. Two years later and those who are left are still struggling with the fallout of The Departure and the first season explored how that effected residents of a small American town called Mapleton, New York.

With a cast including Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler and the stunningly talented Carrie Coon, the first season was a strange and beguiling mix of drama and subtle supernatural elements with strong performances and some jaw dropping moments.

Happily, HBO has renewed the show for a second season but things are going to be quite different. For one thing, there's an entirely new cast and location and the material covered here will be inspired by Perrotta's book but entirely unique. Here's the teaser trailer for season 2.

That's a hell of a closing show. It seems everyone is on their way to Jarden Texas, a place which was mysteriously exempt from any departures on that fateful day. Who knows what's going to happen there?

Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes and will premiere on HBO in Autumn 2015.
