YouTuber crushes $10,000 Apple Watch with magnets
The results are not pretty.
When the magnets come together, bits fly off the Apple Watch. The smashed screen is mostly separated from its body, though much of the casing remains intact.
But it still shows signs of life. When plugged into its charging cradle, the Apple Watch beeps. This means that some of its internal electronics are still working. The green LED lights used to detect the wearer's pulse are also still functioning.
We wouldn’t advise trying this with your own Apple Watch. It’s quite a dangerous experiment as TechRax warns, and you’ll be down a Watch one way or the other. Best to leave this to the professionals who make money from their videos.
TechRax has previously filmed himself dropping the Watch on the ground and submerging an iPhone 6 in a lava lamp.
