OnePlus One gets permanent price cut

OnePlus launched a one-week sale of its One handset last week, but has been so impressed by sales that it decided to cut the price of the device permanently.

The OnePlus One now starts at $249, a saving of $50. The company says that it has been able to scale to a much more efficient level of operation and is passing on savings to buyers.

When OnePlus teased an announcement, many expected it to be a new flagship handset. The resulting announcement was much less exciting, but at least it’s a permanent move now.
