The Martian - Matt Damon goes viral on Mars

There's a movie on the way called The Martian based on a book by Andy Weir and starring Matt Damon as an astronaut who gets stranded on the red planet. Why not mee the whole crew of Ares 3.

Typically enough for a Ridley Scott production the attention to detail is immense, and we especially like the use of Twitter and #AresLive. We have to wonder how much use the promo teams are going to make of that. The glimpse at what the main cast does it interesting, as well as random facts abou the characters played by an impressive cast including Jessica Chastain and Michael Pena.

That said, Scott's latest major flirtation with viral marketing was on Prometheus, and we all know how that turned out...

The Martian is set for release in November 2015.
