Facebook is still Ireland's most popular social network

Around 60% of Irish people have a Facebook account, making it the most popular social network in Ireland.

A survey by Ipsos MRBI found that 60% of Irish people had Facebook accounts between March and May, but that’s down three percentage points on the quarter to February. Those who do have an account are using it slightly more.

The survey found that 72% of people with an account log on every day. That’s up from the 70% recorded in the last survey.
