Chris Pine could be love interest in Wonder Woman
New director Patty Jenkins is currently getting ready to start shooting and it seems she might have her eye on a leading. Star Trek's Chris Pine is in the picture to play the part of Steve Trevor - an army man who has a close personal relationship with the woman of wonder herself. Pine has been mostly keeping himself out of major franchise films in recent years (apart from Star Trek) with the result being that the talented 34 year old has few leading roles to his name. It's unclear how big his part in Wonder Woman will be but knowing how these inter-connected comic book universes go it's pretty likely that he'll be roped into future entries and he might even pop up in something like Justice League. Of course, it would be nice if we could have the first major female superhero movie without having a generic love story but maybe DC will manage to do something halfway interesting with the plot for the film. Whatever happens, we've got a while before we find out, with Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad both set to bow first.
