HTC will not release mini phone this year

HTC’s Jack Tong confirmed that the company has killed off its mini range of phones. He revealed that it’s because the market is moving in the other direction.Speaking at the Taiwan launch of the One M9 Plus, he said, “Overall the industry is moving towards new phones over 5 inches in size and our product roadmap is close to that of the industry.”HTC launched the One M9 Plus, which is a larger version of the One M9 with a better screen resolution. It’s only on sale in Asian markets and HTC says that there are no plans for a US or UK release. The HTC One Mini 2 was released last summer and could be HTC’s last mini phone.
