Hugh Bonneville won't rule out Downton Abbey movie appearance
If creator Julian Fellowes gave the film the go-ahead, Bonneville might be on board. “I don’t know, I mean show me the money. Show me the script, more importantly,” he said to the Press Association at the Bafta Television Awards. The 51-year-old British actor says he has mixed feelings about Downton Abbey coming to an end. He said, “It’s become such a part of all our lives both in front of the camera and behind.”He added, “But I’m really pleased Julian has known when to finish it, to quit while you’re ahead, while it still seems a lovely thing, and hopefully it will be around on people’s shelves for years to come, but it’s the right time to finish.”Fellowes himself has said that it’s important that Downton winds up at the right time. It’s unclear if Fellowes will actually have enough time to pen a script for a movie. He is set to start work on the New York period drama, The Gilded Age.
