30 percent of Tinder's users are married!
Research firm GlobalWebIndex (GWI) found that 30% of Tinder users surveyed are married, while another 12% are in a relationship. If you want to look on the bright side, that still means that a little over 50% of Tinder users are single fish in the sea.GWIās research also shows that Tinder is male-dominated. 62% of its users are male; possibly good news if youāre a single woman. Of course, the two stats outlined may be linked in some cases.Tinder has always tried to distance itself from being a pure dating service. It describes itself as a āsocial networkā or a āsocial discovery platform.ā Tinder says that it can be used to make friends, network, or even meet new people when they travel.Unsurprisingly, Tinder is dominated by a relatively youthful audience. 38% are aged between 16 and 24, while 45% are between 25 and 34. Itās likely to remain this way, especially as Tinder is charging the over 30s more for premium features. One interesting fallout from the research is that while Tinder took issue with the age ranges reported, it did not comment on its usersā martial statuses. Tinder revealed that more than 50% of its users are aged 18-24. While GWI said that 83% of Tinderās users are 18-34, Tinder itself claims itās more like 85%.Tinder Plus could be a good money spinner for the company. Those using dating sites and apps are willing to part with money for a better experience and a broader range of features. The research found that 24% of Tinder users had paid for an online dating service in the last month, compared to 14% of dating site users surveyed.
