PlayStation Saudi Arabia’s Marketing Exec revealed the news on Twitter. Essam, or AgentWhiskers as he is known to his Twitter followers, wrote “No PlayStation conference at Gamescom this year. Paris Games Week in October is where it's at.”It makes sense. Sony’s E3 conference will be held on June 16th and Gamescom begins on August 4th. This doesn’t leave much time for any new developments. Is it really worth their time showing off the same things twice in a matter of weeks? Probably not.Instead, Sony will host a press conference during Paris Games Week on October 27th.A PlayStation representative said that “both PlayStation and the wider industry would benefit from a major news milestone later in the year."In previous years, Sony has used Gamescom to host discussion panels, talk up indies, and even announce the launch dates for the PlayStation 4.
