Far Cry 4 developer Ubisoft Montreal will match Red Cross pledges of up to $100,000 to aid Nepal after it was hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on Saturday.

The team will match donations up to the first $100,000. So far, the pledges have reached $16,750. It’s early days for the fund, but the team is hoping that people will give generously.The developer launched a Red Cross page to raise awareness of the fund. It wrote, “Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross, who are mobilizing their traveling hospital team to Kathmandu to offer support and medical assistance.”The death toll from the earthquake has risen above 5,200 as of this morning, while thousands of others have been injured or stranded.If you would like to make a donation, you can visit the Red Cross page.
