DotA 2 adds Terry Pratchett tribute

Octarine comes from the mind of Pratchett himself. It is a greenish-purple hue that he dreamed up as the eighth colour of the visible spectrum. Octarine was the subject of his first Discworld novel, The Colour of Magic. The DotA 2 item will be most useful to mages and intelligence-based characters. It grants them boosts to Intelligence, HP, Mana, HP regeneration and Mana regeneration, and includes a passive reduction of 25 per cent on all cooldowns, as well as a passive Spell Lifesteal. But you’ll pay for the privilege. The Octarine Core is one of the most expensive items in the game, so it’ll be reserved for successful heroes at the tail end of a game.Dota 2 is the latest video game to add a tribute or reference to Terry Pratchett. Pratchett passed away at the age of 66 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. The video shows the effects of the Octarine Core in action.
