Marvel teams up with Telltale Games for 2017 release
Telltale is seen as the perfect partner because it meets Marvel’s standards for storytelling, according to executive producer Mike Jones. Marvel’s executive vice president also highlighted that “Marvel is about storytelling.”Of course, neither side was willing to say too much. Marvel didn’t reveal the name of the game or what properties Telltale will be working its magic with. Meanwhile, Telltale simply wrote, “We'll be teaming up on the development of an upcoming Telltale game series project set to premiere in 2017!"Marvel has a pretty packed slate of cinema releases over the next few years. Telltale Games certainly has a rich catalogue to work with, though we’re curious to see how the studio’s distinctive style fits in with the Marvel universe.Telltale seems to be the go-to studio for storytelling games at the moment. It is currently releasing episodes from Game of Thrones and Tales of the Borderlands, while other projects, including a Minecraft game, are in the works.
Marvel and Telltale Games will work together to develop an unspecified video game, which will be released in 2017. We're excited already.
