True Detective season 2 comes to Ireland on June 22nd

In 2014, the world pretty much fell head over heels for True Detective. With a starry cast including Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, it was an eerie thriller focussed on the pursuit of a serial killer over almost two decades by a pair of mismatched Louisiana cops. With incredible production value and a dark, dense plot, it really captured the attention of the world through its 8 episode run.And part of the appeal of that first season is that it won't ever be repeated - the characters of Ruse (McConaughey) and Marty (Harrelson) are gone from the story now, with a whole new cast and plot set to take their place for the second season. The lineup includes Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch and will take place in LA County where a crime scene "triggers an investigation involving three law enforcement groups, multiple criminal collusions, and billions of dollars." It's all about the cops and criminals this time, and we've even had a teaser trailer.
