There may be no need to worry that Samsung’s Galaxy A8 will be too bulky for your pocket. Apparently, the device will be just 5.9mm, making it the thinnest smartphone that Samsung has produced.

The all-metal Galaxy A8, according to insider sources cited by SamMobile, will be 0.4mm thinner than the Galaxy A7. Not only is it the thinnest Samsung smartphone, but it looks set to be the largest Galaxy A device. It will have a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. The smartphone will measure in at 157.7×76.7×5.9 mm and weigh 140 grams.Other specs have also been revealed. Apparently, the Galaxy A8 will feature a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a sizeable 3,050 mAh battery. The phone will run Android 5.0.1. Interestingly, the Galaxy A8 could be the first non-flagship Galaxy phone to have a 16-megapixel rear camera.The potential downside is that it’s unclear if Samsung will make the Galaxy A8 available outside of China.
