You may not have tried out a wearable just yet but one of the biggest issues with making a data-connected device small enough for your wrist is battery life.

New Asus VivoWatch will last for 10 days

Many smartwatches only last about a day before you have to charge them, including the Apple Watch, and that's far from convenient. So it's great to hear that Asus is taking this issue to heart in their new VivoWatch. The wrist-worn fitness tracking device has many good features, including an attractive stainless steel body, but the main selling point will undoubtedly be its rumoured 10 day battery life.We don't have all the information on the VivoWatch just yet but its likelt to be water and dust proof (so fine to take into the shower) and include heart-rate monitering and sleep tracking. The screen size looks generous and the battery saving likely comes from the use of a mostly black and white display, something which works well on a fitness tracker which doesn't need to include many fancy graphics. This initial image also makes it look like the watch won't run on Google's Android Wear, which is probably another way the company is saving on battery life. There's no release date yet for the Asus VivoWatch but we'll update you when we know more.In Short: The latest wearable from Asus promises extended battery life - which is great news as battery life is always a concern
