Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge available in Ireland now - and they cost a fortune!
Samsung's latest smartphone was quite clearly the winner at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, earning worldwide attention for its unique looks. It's all thanks to the curved screen which tapers in at either side to create something we've never seen before in a smartphone. And Samsung knows they've got something special on their hands, using the curved areas for special notifications and light shows.Of course, it wouldn't be quite so impressive if it wasn't for a major redesign for Samsung's flagship phone range. Instead of their trademark plastic they've adorned the S6 series with metal and glass, making for a really premium look, which has a price tag to match. This means that the regular old Galaxy S6 also looks great, and has the advantage of being just that little bit cheaper than its slicker sibling. Both phones feature the same internal spec, including an octa-core processor and 3 gigs of RAM, and there are options available with 32, 64 and 128 gigs of storage. That's important to note because the S6 and S6 Edge don't sport an internal slow for microSD card - so you're stuck with whatever storage you pay for at the start. Which might cause some problems if you're planning on shooting a lot of 4K video.Samsung has produced another great camera here (though it does protrude a little from the back of the phone this time) with a 16 megapixel sensor that features improved low light capabilities - which early reviews are saying actually holds true under scrutiny. The camera launches quickly, the auto focus is blistering and by all accounts the results are seriously impressive. In case we haven't mentioned it enough, the S6 Edge is gorgeous!
