And those images all come from a massive IMAX projector - or sometimes two such projectors - which are throwing out an immense amount of light to keep your explosions and vistas looking as pristine as possible. The lights are powered by massive bulbs which heat to a massive degree and have to be water cooled to keep from exploding. But, like every bulb, they do blow from time to time.
