Arrested Development will return!

Arrested Development was a very funny show which achieved wild-ranging citical acclaim but was canned by Fox for low ratings in 2006. Then it came back to Netflix and was a bit of an unfunny mess, with a confusing plotline which was all over the place.Still, the appetite for more episodes of the show remains, and apparently fans are in luck. Speaking on a podcast, Arrested Development executive producer has said that 17 new episodes will be coming to the online streaming service: "I love Arrested Development. But it never — it was never a huge thing. But people are loyal to it, and we’re going to do another 17 episodes. So stay tuned for Arrested Development."That's pretty much all the information you get, and there's been no official word from Netflix or the show's creator Mitchell Hurwitz. The most recent news we'd heard was that everyone involved wanted to work on a movie version of the story, potentially continuing into more episodes afterwards. And that could still be the case, with no idea on when the new Netflix eps are supposed to happen. The fourth season's shooting schedule was made extremely complicated by the busy working lives of everyone involved, with some of the scenes created using green screen and a really chaotic feel to the production.Hopefully some of those issues can be ironed out before Arrested Development stages it big return.There's no confirmed date for Arrested Development season five, stay tuned for more information as we get it.In Short: According to reports, a whole new series of Arrested Development is in the works, bringing back the crazy Bluth family
