Sinister was a surprisingly effective little horror number released in 2012 starring Ethan Hawke as a writer who gets involved with a demonic presence. The ending was a big naff but otherwise it was a slick and well played shocker from Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. Some success followed so both filmmakers are back for the sequel, though this time they're sticking to writing duties.That left the directors chair open for Irish helmer Ciaran Foy, best known for Citadel which finally saw a release in 2013. There was lots of promise in that Scotland-based chiller so we can't wait to see how he does on his first American picture.
