Masterminds trailer: Watch Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig pull off a heist
Masterminds is based on the story of David Ghantt (Zach Galifianakis) who is stuck in a monotonous life. He drives an armoured truck around day in, day out, transporting millions. The only hint of excitement in his life is his flirtatious work crush Kelly Campbell (Kristen Wiig). She lures him into the scheme of a lifetime as part of a group of criminals led by Steve Chambers (Owen Wilson). Of course, the good times don’t last and David ends up on the run from police and a hit man (Jason Sudeikis).Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite; Nacho Libre) directs the action comedy that’s based on real events. As you’d expect from the cast, Masterminds looks incredibly silly. It’s a strong cast, so we’re hopeful that we have an enjoyable comedy to look forward to.
