OnePlus rolling out Android update this month
The company today announced its rollout plans. OnePlus employee Bradon H revealed on the company’s forums that users will be get the choice of two different upgrades. The straightforward over-the-air (OTA) will be released “on or before March 30." This will bump up the handset to the Lollipop variant of CM 12S (Cyanogen Mod).Meanwhile, you could opt for OnePlus' own Android ROM, called OxygenOS. This will be released on or before March 27th. If you decide to go down this route, you will need to download and flash the operating system yourself; there’s no OTA option.OnePlus is currently developing the successor to the One. A release date hasn’t been announced just yet. The company is also expanding its handset’s availability. It recently announced an expansion into 16 new European countries, including Ireland. Those living in selected countries where the handset is available can purchase it by invite or during an open sale every Tuesday.
OnePlus will update its One handset to Android 5.0 Lollipop at the end of March. Users can choose from two upgrade options.
