Watch the lovely moment Robert Downey Jr. surprises this young boy with a bionic arm

Alex is "a seven-year-old boy who loves superheroes and riding his bike". Alex was also born with a partially developed right arm.

In the video below he meets Albert Manero, who builds and donates low-cost, 3D printed bionic limbs to children around the world.

Alex, however, is in for a surprise. Behind door number 912 is none other than "another bionics expert", his hero, Robert Downey Jr.

Downey Jr, who stars as Marvel's Iron Man, was there to present Alex with his new arm - and the smile on Alex's face was very heartwarming.

When asked if he knew who he was meeting, Alex shyly replied: "Iron Man". He quickly added; "Robert".

Watch the full, wonderful meeting here:

Writing on Facebook, Downey Jr said he "had the absolute privilege of presenting a brand spanking new 3D-printed bionic Iron Man arm to Alex, the most dapper 7-year-old I’ve ever met."

What a team!
