Rock Band 4`s New Guitars Will Be Familiar to Fans
While Rock Band 4 will support those guitars that you may have tucked away in storage, there will be new guitars released to cater for new fans or those who sold off their stash of plastic peripherals. The new guitars won’t look all that different, nor will they have any new features, according to a report in Edge.Harmonix has an ongoing relationship with Fender, so the new guitars manufactured by Mad Catz “won't deviate far from the traditional Stratocaster shape.” The report mentions that launching Rock Band 4 with “a shiny new range of essential fake instruments would be in conflict with Harmonix's current beliefs."The report mentions that “the unnecessary proliferation of expensive peripherals helped kill off the music genre, after all.” Those who held on to their instruments will be pleased to hear that Harmonix is aiming to make Rock Band 4 backwards-compatible with every existing instrument. But before you get too excited about dusting off the keyboard, Rock Band 4 is going back to the core band. It will focus on the trials and tribulations of those on vocals, guitar, bass, and drums.Rock Band 4 will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
Rock Band 4's new suite of plastic instruments won't add new features or change the design too much, according to a new report.
