This will allow people to share phones with their family, for example.Security has been given a boost. The Android Blog explains that Device Protection will lock your lost or stolen device until you sign in with your Google account. It will stay locked even if someone resets the device to factory settings. The Device Protection feature will be available on most Android phones and tablets shipped with Android 5.1, as well as the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.
