Here`s How to Build a LEGO Oscar!

Yup so The Lego Movie didn't win any Oscars - it should have been in the Best Animated Film race but that's something we're just going to have to get over. The film is out there, it's very entertaining and there are sequels and spin offs on the way.Besides, you can't say that Lego in general didn't get much attention at the ceremony. There was a rousing performance of 'Everything is Awesome' featuring Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island, as well as a cameo from Will Arnett as actual Batman. And the song and dance number also included many Lego Oscars being given out the numerous nominees. That means even if you didn't manage to win on the night, you could still have gone home with a very rare piece of merch - which seems like a note of solidarity from the team behind The Lego Movie. The Lego Oscars were commissioned from Nathan Sawaya, who made one for The Lego Movie co-director Phil Lord earlier in the year - in the wake of the Best Animated feature snub. The new verson has a black base and you can see the work Nathan put in with this very quick timelapse video.
