Panasonic`s Lumix CM1 will be widely available from April
Naturally, Panasonic is keen to highlight the virtues of the nifty device as a camera. It features a 1-inch 20 megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor, which you would ordinarily find in a high-spec compact camera. This means that this smartphone can produce crisp and highly dynamic images, and offers excellent low light performance. The Lumix CM1 is also capable of 1920x1080 full HD video recording (30p), 3840 x 2160 4K video recording (15p), and RAW image recording. To take advantage of these 4K capabilities, the Lumix CM1 offers two special 4K applications. “4K Pre-Burst” is designed to help users capture fleeting and fast-moving photo opportunities like children or pets. It records 45 frames right before and after the shutter release, letting you choose the best shot.Meanwhile, 4K PhotoCapture lets users crop a still picture from recorded 4K video. The 4.7-inch ultra-high resolution monitor on the rear of the CM1 does any shot proud. Its large size and high resolution means that it’s easy to pick out your perfect image. The Lumix CM1 will go on sale from mid-April. It will arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat, which will be upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop in May. The Panasonic Lumix CM1 is expected to retail for around €900.
Panasonic's Lumix CM1, the world's only 1-inch sensor camera with Android OS and smartphone functionality, will be widely available from April.
