PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan is hesitant to confirm that the free PlayStation Plus version of Driveclub will still happen.

In an interview with Metro, Ryan said that the Driveclub PlayStation Plus version is “still being looked at.” When asked if he could confirm that it will ever happen, he simply responded with “I can’t say anything at this stage.” That’s not to say it won’t happen, but it isn’t that reassuring to anyone who is waiting to get their hands on Driveclub for free.Driveclub was released in October last year, but was plagued by early issues. Several features of the online racer were unavailable for more than a month. And, of course, the free version was one of the casualties of this troubled launch.Don’t hold your breath if you’re hoping to get your hands on Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition anytime soon. If you absolutely have to play Driveclub, the retail version is available and more content is being added all the time.
