Contactless payment is a very handy feature – it’s coming to the London Underground and buses so you never have to queue to top-up or buy a ticket again, and now the technology’s reached a rather unlikely destination – the sands of Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach.

Barclaycard have created contactless payment saddles so visitors to the town’s famous beach don’t have to worry about cash should they, or someone with them, fancy a ride on the equally famous donkeys.
