This new dating app believes beauty is truly skin deep

Willow makes searching for a beau as easy as it can be – the app finds other users in your area, but instead of being faced with a barrage of photos (which admittedly all begin to look like the same person after the 50th), Willow encourages you to really get to know your interest on a deeper level.

Emphasis is detracted away from looks as users instead pose potential dates a series of three questions in the hopes that they’ll reply and a conversation ensues.

At this point, you still have no idea what your online suitor looks like – but once the banter gets bouncing, your love interest’s photo soon becomes available to lurk.

“A lot of these dating apps and websites are set up in a way that inherently make it really difficult for people to relate to one another on an empathetic, human level,” Michael Bruch, Willow Founder and CEO, told us.
“I really just wanted to bring a dating app to the market that I thought would be a fun, positive thing for people to use. I don’t think people should stress about taking the perfect selfie for their dating profile.

“On a day to day basis, you are probably open to talking and connecting with a wide variety of people, some of whom may turn into romantic interests, others of whom may have just been pleasant conversation.
“I think Willow captures this element of human interaction very well, and brings what has been missing in the current dating app landscape to the forefront – the conversation!”
