Applications for digital TV pilot

THE Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey yesterday announced the commencement of the application process from those seeking to take part in the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) pilot programme in Ireland.

Submissions are being sought from interested parties who may wish to become multiplex programme content managers and to supply programme content to the DTT trial.

Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to manage the supply of content for transmission from all or part of two of the multiplexes available in the trial.
