Sky and Vodafone launch mobile TV

VODAFONE IRELAND and Sky Broadcasting have signed an agreement to jointly launch Ireland’s first mobile phone television service.

The new service — Sky Mobile TV — will include a number of channel choices including a 24-hour news service. It will be available to all Vodafone Live! customers with 3G from June 15, and will be free until September 1.

From that date, customers will be charged €1.99 per week for each of the Mobile TV channel packs to which they subscribe.
